Toros Athletics Partners With Strategic Marketing Affiliates, Inc.

CARSON -- Enjoying recent success including men's soccer's NCAA Title and CCAA Titles for men's and women's basketball in 2008, and women's soccer's NCAA Runner-Up and men's soccer's CCAA Title in 2009, CSUDH Athletics has partnered with Strategic Marketing Affiliates (SMA) to manage its domestic U.S. trademark licensing program, effective immediately.

“SMA is a national leader in the arena of collegiate licensing and will help Toro Athletics move our brand out into not only the South Bay community but will make it available on a national scale as well. This will not only help our branding efforts but also create new revenue streams in the future.”
SMA will manage the licensing of CSUDH Athletics logos, and expand both the variety and market reach of its branded products, taking the brand and visibility of the department and University to new levels by providing licensed vendors with services such as digitized, authentic logos for embroidering products, collecting royalties, and helping enforce CSUDH's rights against those who have not received permission to use its brands.

Based in Indianapolis, SMA represents licensing programs for eight institutions in California, including CCAA institutions Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State Monterey Bay. SMA also represents former CCAA school and now Division I Cal State Bakersfield, as well as Loyola Marymount University.
