Toros Ready For CCAA Track & Field Championship Top Finishes as Fisher Leads Day One

LA JOLLA -- For the first time in 2010 senior Judith Fisher had a go in the heptathlon, grabbing as high as the No. 7 spot in the shot put to lead the Cal State Dominguez Hills track & field squad in the 2010 CCAA Track & Field Championships on the campus of UC San Diego.

The only contender to finalize an event in the first day of the championships, Fisher grabbed seventh-place in the shot put at 9.66 meters while also grabbing the eighth position in the long jump at 4.80 meters.

With numerous preliminary events throughout the day top finishing marks went to Chanel Parker in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.02-seconds for second place and Monikkia White in the 100-meter dash at 12.16-seconds for third place.

With the final day of the event now underway the Toros will look to grab numerous All-CCAA honors with the top-three finishers in each event getting either first, second or third team nods.
