NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- Junior Ryan Indovina ended his inaugural campaign in Carson with a Division II PING All-Region nod, it was announced earlier by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Establishing himself as the top golfer on the Carson campus throughout the 2010 season and one of the top golfers in the league, Indovina also earned All-CCAA and CCAA Newcomer of the Year honors, with the latter marking the first-ever Newcomer of the Year honor for a CSUDH golfer.

In seven meets, Indovina placed four top 10 finishes and two top 20, including medal honors in a dual match against UC San Diego, two runner-up finishes and a third-place finish, as well as one CCAA Player of the Week honor.  He averaged just over par in 19 rounds played entering the Super Regional, carding a low 18 score of 67, a low 36 score of 140 and a low tournament tally of 210.

As an individual at the NCAA Regionals, Indovina came within one stroke of qualifying for the NCAA National Golf Championships, finishing with a total of 220 and in a 6-way tie for ninth place.

Division II PING All-Region honorees encompassed a total of 105 players across eight regions, East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West.  Of the 13 spots on the West team, 12 were occupied by golfers from the CCAA.
