TURLOCK, Calif. -- With her second double-double of the season at 19 kills and 11 digs, Samantha Maxwell led the Toros in the offense in a close 3-0 loss to host Cal State Stanislaus. A late-match rally in the third gave the Warriors the needed push to grab the win.

CSUDH out-dug CSUS on the floor with 59 digs while the Warriors grabbed 51. Hilary Hougardy once again led in the defensive effort with 14 digs.

After narrowly dropping set one in a 25-23 decision and seeing set two slip at 25-12, the Toros saw a 21-18 lead go by in set three before a 25-22 final score, ending the night on a 3-0 match loss.

The Toros tallied a tied score 13 times throughout the night to keep constant pressure on the Warriors while also grabbing the lead five times.

Posting her second double-double on the season and increasing her kills per match, Maxwell led the Toros' offensive efforts with 19 kills and 11 digs. Behind her was Ashley Clark with five kills and 11 digs on the night.

CSUDH continued its new trend of out-playing their opponents at the net as Ashley Davison tipped in four blocks to her teams total of five while the Warriors left the night with a single block on record.

The loss moves CSUDH to a 1-16 overall record (1-9 CCAA). The Toros will see action again tomorrow night as they travel to Chico State. First serve is set at 7:00pm.
