LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's volleyball team posted their best team hitting percentage in 6 matches at .160 before succumbing to the Golden Eagles of host Cal State L.A. Leading the charge on the night was Ashley Clark with 10 kills and a .207 attack percentage.

The Toros posted 30 kills on the night with only 15 errors, the least they have had since the first week of September to improve their attacking in 6 matches. The Golden Eagles took the advantage with 45 total kills and four less errors to grab the win.

CSUDH held the lead early on in the first set at 6-3 before falling to a 25-19 loss following one too many CSULA point-streaks. Rebecca Raymond initiated the Toros' biggest streak of the night at five points before the loss.

Despite not once taking the lead in set two, CSUDH kept it even closer with the final true kill coming from Clark gave way to a 25-21 loss.

After too much, the Toros were unable to secure a set win in set three, with Cambrea Horn landing the final kill for CSUDH on the night before a 25-16 loss.

Leading in the attack for CSUDH was Clark with 10 kills while Samantha Maxwell gave in seven of her own. Gabriela Bulawczyk led the Golden Eagles on the night with 11.

Cassidy Mangum gave up 23 of CSUDH's 27 sets while libero Hilary Hougardy landed 16 digs on the night to lead CSUDH.

The loss moves the Toros to a 1-18 overall record (1-11 CCAA). The Toros will look to gain a win this week as they host Humboldt State on October 16th as part of Homecoming Week. First serve is at 3:00pm
