CHICO, Calif. -- Versatile setter Cassidy Mangum logged a number in kills, assists, digs, blocks and service aces to highlight the Toros' effort on the night in a tough 3-0 loss to No. 25 Chico State.

After a too quick set one loss at 25-10, the Toros held the lead three times in set two, with the final one coming in at 16-15 before a late four-point Wildcat push led by Makenzie Snyder gave the Toros a second loss at 25-20.

Samantha Maxwell registered the Toros' final kill in the close set loss to add to her team-high of six on the night.

The Toros kept in briefly close to a score of 5-5 in set three before Chico found their momentum to run the board up and take the win at 25-15.

Despite her small frame at 5'4", Mangum tallied three kills, 14 assists, seven digs with one block and service ace apiece to lead CSUDH's effort on the night.

Chipping in to CSUDH's 21 kills on the night, both Rebecca Raymond and Ashley Clark registered four apiece.

For the third straight match, the Toros once again held the edge at the net with 5.5 total blocks while giving the Wildcats a close 5 even.

The loss moves CSUDH to a 1-17 overall record (1-10 CCAA). The Toros will next see the floor as they play travel partner Cal State L.A. on October 14. First serve is set for 7:00pm in Los Angeles.
