Fifty-Two Toros Earn CSUDH Athletics’ Spring 2008 Honor Roll Recognition

Sandy Lloyd again earned a perfect GPA to conclude a stellar four-year academic run
Carson, CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills women’s soccer’s Sandy Lloyd concluded her academic legacy by earning another perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring semester, and was joined by teammate Alyssa Congdon, volleyball’s Tiffany Bull and women’s basketball’s Barbara Houston atop the GPA board as the quartet led a contingent of 52 CSUDH student-athletes who earned at least a 3.0 GPA during the spring 2008 semester.
Lloyd, who finished her athletic career with two All-Region awards and four All-CCAA honors, also earned two-consecutive ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women’s soccer 1st-team accolades, and has finished three of her last four semesters with a perfect 4.0 GPA, while earning at least a 3.80 in the five others.
All 11 CSUDH sports boasted at least one student-athlete on the list as women’s soccer topped all Toros teams with 11 athletes named to the spring honor roll. Volleyball and softball chimed in with seven each, with men’s soccer and baseball following with six, women’s basketball with five, golf with three and both men’s basketball and track and field with one apiece to round out the spring recipients.
