CSUDH Wishes Men's Soccer Well at "Final Four" Pep Rally
Team departs for Tampa Tuesday morning at 8:30 pm in quest for 2nd NCAA Title in 8 years

The Toros ready themselves for the NCAA Men's Soccer Final Four.
Carson, CA -- In collaboration with Cal State Dominguez Hills' Dining Services, Office of Student Life, Associated Students Incorporated, Toro Productions, Loker Student Union and Student Affairs, Toros Athletics held a pep rally this afternoon to honor the NCAA D-II Final Four bound men's soccer team, which is set to leave for Tampa, Florida, on Tuesday morning at 8:30 am from LAX.
The rally, which was held inside the Loker Student Union Food Court, featured the men's soccer team and coaches, music and food, and was emceed by CSUDH baseball head coach Murphy Su'a.
The 9th-ranked Toros men's soccer team dispatched of 3rd-ranked Midwestern State (TX), 2-1, in the NCAA National Quarterfinals last Saturday, November 22, on a foggy evening that failed to mask the desire and heart of the NCAA West Region Champions.
Earlier, the Toros took respective 3-0 and 4-0 wins over Notre Dame de Namur and Cal State L.A. in the NCAA's first two rounds to claim the West title, before holding off the Mustangs in the heart-stopping quarterfinals.
The Toros will be looking to capture its second NCAA National Title in eight years after claiming the 2000 crown in a 4-overtime thriller against Barry University. This time, they will have to go through host and 11th-ranked University of Tampa in the semifinals, and then the winner of Northern Kentucky / Dowling on Sunday, December 7, with the Championship game scheduled for 10:30 am PST.
