Murphy (#3) scored twice in tonight's win, giving her 4 goals in the past 2 games.
Box Score
Chico, CA -- Freshman Jessica Murphy scored the eventual game-winner, and added an insurance goal for good measure as Cal State Dominguez Hills answered Chico State's first goal with three unanswered in winning its sixth-consecutive game in a 3-1 win tonight.

After the Wildcats struck first at the 3:50 mark to account for the first half's lone score, the Toros came back with a vengeance after intermission.

Melanie DeSalvo knotted the game at 1-1 with a penalty kick goal after Yvonne Vasquez was taken down in the Chico box.

That's where the game remained until the 84th minute when a DeSalvo cross found Murphy 12 yards away, setting up the perfect one-time for CSUDH's first lead of the game.

Paige Peel did the assisting honors just five minutes later as she fed Murphy on a breakaway, allowing the Torrance native to connect with her second goal of the night.

CSUDH keeper Alyssa Congdon tallied 5 saves in the win as the Toros used a 9-5 shot advantage to take a 12-10 in shots, tallying 4 corners to CSUC's 1.

The Toros, who remained tied atop the CCAA south with UC San Diego with their 9-5, 7-2 CCAA mark, look to make it seven-straight when they battle Cal State Stanislaus on Sunday, with first kick in Turlock set for 11:30 am.
